Back from a 16 day trip. Some random shots.

I love Tokyo. Like tomorrowland everywhere you look.

fancy tea

Ordinary drink vending machine.

jinro fresh

BBQ Duck in Seoul. One of the culinary highlights of the trip.

You know, the dragon. The one with the wings. And the Antlers. And the elephant snout. Yeah that one. (near Penang)

Tea plantation in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. One amazing place I never expected to visit in my lifetime. Near the equator yet at higher altitude, it remains cool all year round. Nice.

Carry on only, foreign cities, foreign languages, hurried schedules. This has been my go to EDC for many years.

Swisstech Utilikey

Swisstech Utilikey. Has a little of everything. Goes anywhere. Inoffensive. Highly useful.

Old Tissot T-Touch

Tissot T-Touch. The compass, thermometer, and barometer functions have proved invaluable on many trips. Mine is old and pretty beat up, but the titanium band is so light that the watch weigh less than all my others.

I have to admit to a guilty pleasure that Halloween has become so damn popular. Who would have thought that in 2009 the local stores would have thousands of square feet dedicated to cool decorations, costumes, even specialty household items like skull place mats and dragon dishcloths.

I hauled out the 3 crates of decorations and my trusty SS ATR got the nod for cutting the zip ties, opening packaging, prepping the outdoor trees and shrubs, etc.

ATR

The Serrated Edge ATR is a bit like Halloween: Scary and Cool.

It’s been a while since a true blade entry adorned this front slot. Life, work, economy, all take their toll on a collectors blog.

Not a major purchase here, but I’m a sucker for tantos.

The fusion is a little keychain knife. No lock. No one handed opening. Just a little skeleton piece with some traction control on the spine.

I don’t think it will replace my Jesters and Ladybugs on the keychains, but it seems sturdy. Had to sharpen it a bit upon arrival.
